Does anyone have any input on using 140gr Berger match with N150 Vihta powder and BR4 primer? Gun has 28" barrel with 1-8 twist

You may wanna go to N560, 39.0 to 40.2 range. START charge low, look for pressure signs.

I also set my VLD's .010 to .020 in the lands.

N150 is a little fast for the 6.5x47 Lapua, and N560 is way too slow!

Work up to this load!

N550 is the ticket for your combination. I use 39.8 gr. N550 with 139 gr. Lapua Scenars. Out of a 30" barrel I get 2900 fps.

Start at 37.5 gr. and work up to about 41.0 gr. watching for pressure signs, if you see pressure signs stop immediately!

I don't have first hand experience with it, but I know its faster than N550 and therefore will hit high pressures faster than N550.

It would definetely work, Quickload predicts 2,800 fps. with a 30" barrel.
