6.5 x 47 Lapua recommended reamer freebore for 140 and 130 Hybrid bullets?

Take a look at JGS print # 2124. It has a .293" neck with a .163" freebore. It is what Kelbly's used to chamber my tight, no turn hunting rifle, works well with the hybrids, through an extended length magazine and I am very pleased with it. If you're not concerned with a magazine and want all the powder capacity you can get, you may want a longer freebore. By the way, according to what I've read on this forum, it seems that most prefer to jump the hybrids but my rifles shoot very good with them seated well into the lands.

Long freebores work great with the 140's I use a .290 neck and .220 freebore with the hybrid into the lands, they have always needed to be jammed to shoot good for me.

I measured 8 loaded cartidges that I had handy. Although the head to ogive dimension was within less than .001" the COAL varied .008". I would say they averaged 2.845" COAL, which is about .014" into the lands on this particular rifle which has had just under 150 rounds down the pipe.

.187 works real well with 130 VLDs loaded to kiss at 2.800,,my favorite load is the 130 VLD and H4350 at 3,000 fps

I have learned only to trust JGS numbers. I have had too many others with freebores way off. A 140 vld COAL is 2.8" in a .180 freebore. I would not go less than .160.
