6.5 x 47 lapua flash hole ?,Larry read this) LOL

Bought a new full length die and the decaper pin stuck in the flash hole what is up with this and did I miss something. Oviously its the wrong size but why would redding put the wrong size pin in there?

That is a pretty common thing man. You would think they should know that the 6.5 X 47 has the small flash hole. I always mention the pin when I order dies anymore. I had a custom builder send me dies with the wrong size pin in it a while back.
Ruined a piece of brass too. Oh well, the price we pay to play I suppose. Bill

I've had a fair amount of 6.5X47 Lapua brass with a burr in the flash hole. It will cause the even the small decaping pin to get stuck if you do not remove the burr. I ream all the flash holes on 6.5X47 Lapua brass.

i used a number drill 53 works well for lapua brass.

Yea John, I have seen that too. I have recently started using the # 53 drill bit and sometimes that flake can be tough to get out of the hole. Bill
