6.5 x 47 Dies

Hi All,

I'm just having a 6.5x47 built, and really want to do my best for the rifle on the reloading side.

Up until now I have always managed with standard 'off the shelf' RCBS die sets, which seem to match my factory rifles OK.

Now I'm moving into the custom arena I was looking into going for a set of Redding type 'S' dies, but unfortunately I am having problems sourcing them here in the UK.

I had thought about getting a RCBS full length die set, which includes a full length body resizer and a seating die. Then I was looking to get a Redding type 'S' bushing neck die for the second round of reloads.

Do any of you guys have any thoughts or comments on this?

My Forster sizers work great and fit my chamber well. And they will hone the neck to a specified diameter. I have had a 6x47 and 6.5x47 FL sizer done this way.

Redding will work well also, but I have all but abandoned bushings personally, one less variable to worry about).

The Redding and Forster both have design pros and cons.

HTH,
JB

I'd like to hear more about what advantages that the Forster sizing dies have.
