6.5 creedmoor dies

I'm trying to figure out which dies to buy... do I buy a full set from redding or piece them together... lee collet, redding body die, forster micro seating die....

If you have a few months to spare, you can have Whidden make a custom die from your fire formed brass for about 160. Best way to go

When it comes to Whidden, I totally agree with Dan, I have been waiting more than 2 3 months for my sizing die from them and still counting... Because of that I purchased a Redding Match set so I can get some brass made for the F-Class Matches starting next month. I only use the body die and the micrometer bullet seater so far, I will try out the neck bushing dies someday... Both Redding dies are major upgrades from the typical Lee dies I was using.. I am still attached to my Lee collet die for neck sizing though. I have used it enough to really finesse some great run out and even tension with it.

edit bcuz I can no count...

Btw, I think lee as well will make a fl die to your fired brass if I’m not mistaken for pretty cheap.

I just ordered a Wilson inline seater for range work. Should have started with it. However, I did just measure a zero run-out from my Forster micro seating die on a Dillon 650.

I'm not shooting in any competitions anytime soon and prolly won't since I have only one day off a week. I just want to reload, find a nice load that works and try to shoot the best groups I can. I don't have much confidence in myself in shooting competition.
This is my first rifle and got lots lots to learn.

I'm shooting 260 Remington. I started with Hornady, then bought a three die set from Forster that included full length sizer die, neck and shoulder bushing bump die, and an Ultra Seater die. I played with different bushings on the bushing bump die and then sent my full length sizer die into Forster for custom honing to .287. I run the full length sizer die without an expander ball.

Amen, I love the lee collet die. Everyone may tell me I’m dumb, but my Whidden custom fl die will be in in a week or so. I was “thinking” of trying just sizing the body with the Whidden and doing the neck with the lee collet instead of using bushings to avoid any runout. Just a thought, I am prepared to have that idea shot down tho. I don’t mind getting schooled on this forum. I learn when I do.
I was gonna do the same (if the thing ever arrives!). Try body sizing only with the Whidden die and still use the Lee collet for the neck....

+ on Redding body die and lee collet die. $35 for the Redding to size the body and bump shoulder back, $45 for a lee ultimate die set that includes the collet die. Have been able to get very consistent 2.5 thou neck tension. $86 for a Forester micro seater. This combo has loaded some really good rounds for me with a co-ax press.
