6.5 x 284 reloading . help

I am new to reloading. I really like this round, But where do I find the bullets for reloading???? I see plenty of 6.5 x 264 and 7mm x 284 but no 6.5 x 284! Anyone have any websites to order from??

The 6.5-284 uses standard 6.5mm bullets, ie 0.264" dia. (The '284' bit in the title refers to the parent case, a necked down .284 Win, not to the bullet.) Have fun - a nice cartridge to reload and shoot.

Ok! I was kind of thinking that, but I wasnt for sure! Like I said I am new to reloading and to this cal. I appreciate your time and help.

Well, it is not 6.5x284 but 6.5-284. But that does not make any difference when it comes to bullets.
You have just to seek for 6,5 bullets. Thats all!!
You have them in Lapua, Nosler, Hornady, Speer and Sierra. The most commonly used are 140 grain, but you can also use 130 grain basically depending on the twist of your barrel.

You load .264" bullets (6.5 mm) into brass that's derived from 284 Win size brass. Lapua makes it already necked down to 6.5mm, hence 6.5-284.
Many manuals have data for this cartridge as does hodgdon's and Noslers website.

slow typist!! ;)

All of the powder manufacture have their whole loading manual on line and I know that Western powders and Ramshot powders both have data for the 6.5-284. I think that Accurate powder also list loads for the 6.5-284.
