6.5 wsm or 6.5x284

thinking of building a 6.5 was wondering if anyone has had any experince with th 6.5 wsm? and how it matches up next to the 6.5x284

I was going to make one, but did not. If you decide to go this route, I have about two hundred formed case. I bought them from a guy that built one.

bluke- I have 2 6.5 WSSM guns that I built. I also have a 6.5-284. I like the 6.5wssm better. The 6.5wsm that you refer to is a barrel burner. If you use the WSSM case with a .296-.300 neck you will be happy!!!

I have both If your building it for hunting I say go with the WSM it is an awesome long range deer cartridge but it is hard on barrels. The 284 is better on barrels for competition. Both are very accurate.
