I have plenty of this powder and want to load some ammo for my Grandfather's 99 savage. I can't find load data anywhere. Any of yo have a clue if any exists

The reason that they are not showing data for that cartridge is because that powder has too slow of a burning rate for it. There are many powders that are more suitable for the 300 Savage.

I've had the best results with mine using Varget pushing 150 grain soft points.Not a whole lot of data out there for the 300,but there are several powders other than Varget that should do just fine.Mine is a Rem. 722 with a 24 inch barrel.They take a pretty fast powder.Benchmark or IMR-8208XBR would probably in the ideal burn rate range,but I don't know of any data for those powders.Most data for it is older.

Because the .300 Savage is so similar to the .308 Win., there are many handloading components available, except maybe new brass. IMR 4895 is the most versatile powder, but that simply means Alliant Reloder 15 and Hodgdon Varget are good choices, too.
