6.5 PRC sizing dies

The back end of the chamber needs to be opened up to .535”. To do it properly the barrel should be pulled and put in a lathe. You can open the chamber with emery cloth or source the modified reamer and open it up that way. It doesn’t take much to open one up .003” in the lathe with emery.

If you go to the link at Long Range Hunting Alex posted advice there will be all the info you need.
I never removed the barrel. Reamer arrived with a T wrench, I sprayed cutting oil in the chamber and Gentilly turned the reamer, treated it like a "Tap and Die", blow out the shavings, and repeated the process. When I felt the reamer did its job, I ran some emery in it as directed. Took about an hour, and the problem was solved.

I got the kit yesterday to measure shoulder bump. When i get home tomorrow im going to check and see what its doing. Has anyone tried shaving down a shell holder? This would let brass into die more if not setting back shoulder enought like a small base die?

So my shoulder bump is slightly different than a new piece of brass. I got another shell holder. I shaved it down .006 from what it was at. Set up die to new shell holder. Sized 3 pieces of brass. The shoulder bump is now .001 smaller than virgin brass and bumped it .003 more than the die set up to a regular rcbs shell holder. I tried the brass in my rifle and bolt closes smooth.
