6.5 prc barrel life

In my opinion...

It all depends on your accuracy expectations. But best accuracy drops off in the 6.5 PRC probably around 1,000 to 1,500 rounds depending on what you're using it for.

F-class is probably good for 1,000 - 1,200 rounds.
PRS probably good for 1,500 because even 1/2 moa will get you by no problem.
Hunting big game only ? Probably 2,000 rounds or 2,500 at most. because 3/4 to 1 moa will still get the job done.

Are you worried they will quit making barrels? No matter what the bullets run through that barrel will cost more than it costs to replace it.

Compare barrel life to drag cars. Average street cars motors run a while. Top fuel dragsters rebuild the motors every pass. They go through 4 distributers every pass……
Shooting costs money if you shoot a lot. Barrels are replaceable. Get a good set up and smith and shoot.
