6.5 Grendel loads???

My shootin' partner bought a Grendel upper and is having trouble finding good load data for it. Even on Grendel related sites it seems like this is new territory.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

If he will look through the Reloading forum, there are hundreds of loads listed. One of the specific threads is titled "What loads are you having success with."

What model Grendel upper did he buy, there are a couple of different twist rates in the barrels, and what loads has he been trying?

Mine likes 30 gr of AA2520 with either the Sierra 120 gr MatchKing,for mag length loads at 2.240") or with the Lapua 123,for long line loads) at .010" off the lands,about 2.325" OAL), all with a Winchester Small Rifle Primer. I cannot speak to whether these loads will shoot in your rifle, and it also depends what chamber you have. FYI there are at least two different chambers that have been used with the Grendel, mine is the later "match" chamber,.295" dia neck). The earlier chambering had a longer freebore and a larger neck,around .300" dia).
