Ok, this is a bit of a stretch, but here goes anyway.
6.5 Grendel 85gr Sierra HP loaded to 2.240". I see hodgdon as a few powders listed, but alas what I've got is Benchmark.
Benchmark is in-between H335 and H322 on Hodgdon Burn rate chart... I would deduce that from Hodgdon website's H335 starting point of 29.0gr and H322 starting of 27.0gr that a starting point of 28.0gr would be sufficient, or even 27.0 since I know that Benchmark is slower than H322.
My question beyond just that of what is a good starting point to work up from (I'm NOT looking for a max load), is what is a method of determining starting points on unpublished powders? e.g. 6.5 Grendel with Alliant powders?
I'm also going to e-mail the company for recommended starting points as well, as I believe its better to have plenty of data than one data point, but what are your thoughts?
