6.5 grendel identification

Hey guys. I have about 7k pieces of Alexander arms 6.5 grendel. I've advertised it as hornady rather than lapua because thats a conservative bet. (Who wouldn't feel ripped if they thought they were getting lapua and it turned out to be hornady) it appears though that a few of my customers are coming to me telling me they think it's actually lapua. The difference in price is would sell at is negligible. Like 5 cents. So from 25 cents to 30 a case. But what are your guys thoughts. Lapua or hornady?

That’s a fantastic stash. I’ve heard mainly it’s Lapua. Then there’s a few who say otherwise. No merrit really in either case.

Take much time but maybe you could weigh
Some surely to god lapua and hornady won’t weigh the same.

If looking to sell I’m not sure how big the market is on unknown amount of fired rounds especially out of ar15 rifles.

My 6.5 Grendel Lapua brass lhas a much smaller primer flash hole. Hornady has a flash hole sized like normal brass. Lapua is great brass but I prefer Hornady in my rifle. Hornady also gives more velocity than the small flash hole Lapua with the same charges. Plus they both have their. Own headstamps.Not sure which brass Alexander uses.

They started with lapua then made a switch to hornady I read

Easy to tell. Like rg1 mentioned, pop a primer out and if it small flash hole, Lapua.

I have 500ish pieces of stamped AA 6.5 Grendel brass and that is what they all are, Lapua. Of course they are from 2012ish or so they would be.
