6.5 Grendel build

I am wanting to build a 6.5 Grendel on an AR 15 platform for local prone matches . Any advise on where to purchase these parts I am looking for quality accurate parts that are affordable .

I like radical firearms. You can get an upper from them dirt cheap. Between my dad, brother, and I we own six! Lol

Their 6.5s look like a little higher quality Than the .223/.300BOs we have been buying.

I would also get an Anderson lower for $49. You can probably get a quality build for right at $600.

I second Odin Works, Quality parts, This is the one i built using their 20" barrel.

Take a look at joeboboutfitters.com They have a real deal on an Odin Works barrel 20", bolt and gas block for $418.00 and they have Anderson stripped upper for $44.95 and you can get the rest of what is needed at a good price.

What kind of scope is that??

I have an Anderson lower right now. I might do a 6.5 Grendel build. My dad bought AR parts from joeboboutfitters. No issues.

I wouldn't skimp on the barrel if you plan on shooting matches with it. There are a lot of cheap ar barrels out there that you probably wouldn't be satisfied with. I have a Rockcreek, shilen and a Douglas for ARs, they all shoot well, the rock is the best of mine.

I have a 264 "predator" (LBC/Grendel) with the 750xd bolt from AR15 Performance. His barrels are super accurate and affordable. His stock can be hit or miss but I highly recommend him. Another option is a Criterion chambered by Precision Firearms. I suspect PF is a bit backlogged, I got an email list message about a lathe being down and excuses about Shot Show and Great American Outdoor Show for delays in filling orders.

ARP offers the grendel case in 6mm and 22 chambering also so there are options.

buy a good barrel, not a cheaper one.. high end bolt carrier group, gas block, trigger, quality speaks in an AR loudely. The grendel is fun!

My Grendel is a cheap Model 1 sales 24" heavy barrel version, that I picked up at a gun show, unfired, at a great price. Blind squirrel syndrome I guess, but it will cloverleaf 90gr speer TNT bullets using Benchmark powder
