6.5 Creedmor ejector mark question

I have shot a lot of 6.5, gone thru a lot of barrels, always use h4350, never been able to put more than 41.6gr of powder. Listen to ur rifle, dont worry about velocity. I would automatically drop .5gr off and see if marks are still there. Again listen to what ur rifle is telling u.

Need some help to identify very faint ejector marks on new lapua brass.

The components are:
NEW lapua small primer brass
br4 primers
H4350
scenar L 136 gr
tikka t3x tac a1 rifle in 6.5 creedmor
COAL 2.860

Iam seeing very faint ejector marks at 42.7 gr which gives me around 2725 fps. The marks are only visible if i examine closely at certain angle, they are not raised or shiny. The primers look good, no cratering or flattening. Bolt lift is not stiff.

Can anyone advise if this is a pressure sign or something that happens to a new brass? Unfortunately i dont have lighter loads to compare. Cant get to the range anytime soon:(

thanks for the info!

You might be way over pressure.

Post #1 H4350 with 42.7 gr gives 2725 FPS
Post #20 H4369 with 43.4 gr gives 2775 FPS

Your talking of compressed loads, posts 6 and 10.

I shoot a 6.5 CM with a 28” barrel and my velocities are;

H4350 with 41.0 gr 2780 / 2812 with 6.5 Lapua brass.
H4350 with 41.1 gr 2920 / 2938 with 30-06 Lapua brass necked down.
- Berger 140 VLD in both loads.

Somethings not right in your reloading process. Seems like way to much powder for the velocities your getting.
