6.5 Creedmoor & Wilson dies

Having trouble with a Wilson seating die. The bullet takes great amount of pressure to insert the bullet in the neck a arbor press will mot work it takes a hammer. I am using a Redding FL bushing die with a .288 bushing.
PLEASE HELP

What bullet? Some sort of flat base? Did you chamfer the inside of the mouth? Did you turn the necks? .288" might be a tad on the tight side if you didn't turn; I turn and I'm running .2895" loaded. I still can't see that being enough tension to cause that much resistance to seating though.

The bullet is a 140 AMax. I did turn the necks. The neck OD is .290 before seating the bullet. Could the neck ID of the Wilson die be under size? I did chamfer the inside mouth.
THANKS

Weird. I've never used Wilson so I'm not familiar with their design or use, maybe somebody that is will chime in.

BTW, the 140 A Max is awesome in that cartridge.

Called Wilson and talked to the owner. He wanted me to send the die, 3 bullets and 3 brass to Wilson at my expense and pay the $8 return postage also. I could not believe this kind of customer service from Wilson. I ordered the die from Midway so I returned it for exchange for another one and they were happy to do so. They covered the postage both ways. WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Midway. The new die works fine.
