6.5 Creedmoor quality brass

As most of you reloaders know that Lapua has one of the best brass out there and its what I use as well as Norma. I do not want to switch to a small rifle primer for the 6.5 Creedmoor and Lapua do not offer LR primer for it, but came across a few names that have popped up such as Peterson Brass and Alpha Munitions. How consistent are their brass if any of you have used them? I like to see consistent internal volume and high quality brass.

Brown Santa just brought me a box of Peterson brass in 6.5 CM (large primer). Unfortunately I'd ordered 6.5 CM in small primer. The only thing I have noticed so far is that the case mouths are peened over leaving a flashing around the outside rim of the mouth. Nothing that can't be removed easily during normal prep work. Once I weigh sort them I'll post results.
Since I now have the Peterson LRP cases, I intend to compare small to large primer loads and post results using Peterson brass, CCI primers, Sierra 140 and 142 SMK's and RL 17, RL 16, H4350 as they can be obtained.

Might-could take a while.

Interesting...the small primer 6.5 Creedmoor brass I received has the mouths fully prepped; they are chamfered and deburred.

Not to downplay lapua, but you can buy prime ammo (which is nosler) for cheaper than brass if you need certain calibers (mainly 6.5 creedmoor)
What I mean to say is buy prime ammo

Just recieved 100 rnds Peterson brass srp yesterday, and not being a benchrest shooter, did some simple tests....weight of cases on my batch were within 1.5 gr , length was .002-.003 and the inside and outside mouth chamfers looked good...still ran a vld inside chamfer tool inside lightly. Primers seated tight, and consistantly. I also have 100 lapua that i have fired once, so after i load these and fire them, i can do some more comparative testing.....To be honest, with the plastic shell cases and quality control i see so far, i might be able to save a little over Lapua. But it is early yet to make a firm decision...

Are you sure about that? Prime was reportedly using Norma brass and bullets.

Regardless...it is good quality brass and did shoot well in a factory barrel.
I agree that the Prime ammo uses Norma brass as well as the rest of the components are Norma also. Bullets, powder, primers.
