6.5 Creedmoor pet load

Wyman put the Creedmoor barrel that I chambered and it shoots the 120s pretty well, but he isn't happy with the way it shoots with the 140s.
He has several types and brands of powder, but it may help to get ideas from our experienced Creedmoor folks.
What say you!

Mine likes the RL15 with the 140 VLDM's. And believe it or not, it shoots good groups with some of the ancient old H380 I've got laying around-- and what a pleasure to measure.

I'm just getting started, and been seating .030 off lands, and some guys are saying to go further. jd

My "Pet Load" is, the 130 gr ELD-M with, "thrown Charges" of, 43.3 grains of, StaBall 65, F-210M's at, a COAL of, 2.835" using Peterson OR, Lapua Brass ( No Difference, in group's ).
Rifle,.. 1-8 twist, Tikka T-3X SS, 24" bbl, PVA "Back Country" model, BRAKED,.. getting, 2,850 fps, & easily, Sub 1/2 MOA group's with, practically,.. NO,.. Recoil !
Punches 10" Steel plates out to, 850 yds, just,.. Fine !

I just got started with the 130 ELD-M's 2.800" oal at .020" off. and they are shooting really good at 500 yards but my Pet load is Berger 144's at .105 off shooting 2.855. OAL. 41.5 grs. of RL16 in Lapua or Peterson brass. WW LRP in the Peterson and SRP #450's with enlarged flash holes in the Lapua.. That is for over 500 yards to 1000 yards When it gets really hot out I change to Hornady 147's with 40.5 grs. of IMR 4350 in Lapua and WW. LRP brass. Also at 2.855 OAL and .015 off. But those 130 ELD"s are looking better every time I shoot them. 27" Bartlein heavy varmint 1-8 barrel, Pegasus brake , XLR envy pro chassis and a Fuzion action. Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 F1 scope. I would tell you how small the group I shot at 500 yards with the 130 ELD-M bullets was but you would not believe me because I felt the same way when I went out and saw the steel target.

41.5gr of H4350 and any 140 bullet is the go to recipe from every forum I have seen and my personal experience confirms it as well - I’d say it’s the universal load.

140 Berger hybrids seem to shoot well in anything. Hornady ELDM’s have a pretty good success rate for a reasonably priced bullet. Don’t be afraid to try jumping either of them - like a lot!

Advice to, Butch,..
If your Rifle LIKES, the 120's, it will Like, the 130's even,. Better, IMO ( Mine, DID )
130's have, 10% Higher BC's, w/ still, LOW Recoil and, Awesome,.. Accuracy !
At least to, 850 Yards,. 'Cause that's as, Far as,.. I've shot them.
For Lots of, 1,000 yard Shooting, I'd probably go w/ 140, 142 or 144 grainer's and SUCK-Up, the Extra, Recoil

Current favourites: 40.8 H4350 (AR2209) 139g Lapua Scenar or 39.5g Varget (AR2208) with 123g Lapua Scenar. Both in Nosler brass, cos' it's all I had.
Yep on both of these. Adjust +/- 0.5 grain as needed. 123's may kick slightly less and are better in a gas gun. But most are shooting bolt guns here.
