6.5 Creedmoor Chambering difficulties

I went to the range to sight in my Tikka 3X Lite. I had shot various manufacturer factory loads including Federal 120gr. OTM; Hornady Interlock Whitetail 129gr.; Nosler Trophy Grade Accubond 140gr. When I attempted to fire the Nosler BT 120 gr. I was unable to chamber the round. It would go into the barrel, but I was unable to secure the bolt. I tried several different rounds from the same box of ammo but no avail. I went to the American Interlock 129 gr. Whitetail and had no difficulty at all.
I was shooting 3 shot groups and was allowing the barrel to cool after firing each shot and significantly allowed cooling between 3-shot groups.

Has anyone else had a problem with the 6.5 Creedmoor Nosler BT? I sent a message off to Nosler but I have not heard anything back from them.

Check the bullets on the rounds that would not chamber. Try to find some engraving marks on the bullets that was left when the bullets engaged the lands. That can tell you that the bullet is seated too far out.

Check your fired primers for blanks, when the firing pin puts hole in the primer from too much pressure. That tiny piece that gets punched out is enough to prevent bolt closing or lock up the bolt if you get it closed.

I would check the neck OD on the Nosler compared to a fired case. Not likely but the chamber could be too tight for the brass. I have been amazed at the differences in 6.5 CM brass out there.

How many rounds do you have down it? It could also be a carbon ring in the throat.

I've learned the hard way that blanking primers can also be caused by the firing pin hole having too much clearance for the firing pin. Even if they're not blanked, if the primer cup starts to flow into the firing pin hole, ejection can feel a little "off".

KMart, I saw the Final Flight VMCJ-1 you had in your post. I test flew A-6Es and EA-6Bs for Grumman and then Northrop Grumman with Bud Iles (Col. USMC) and A-4s with Toby Griggs (Col. USMC).
I will check the engraving marks; however, these were all manufactured rounds direct from Nosler and not reloads.

I probably have less than 30 rounds total down the barrel.

John was my Avionics OIC while I was with J-1. By 72, he would have been on his second tour. Last contact was at 0430 and they were headed out to the Gulf to come home.
