Anybody try IMR 4895 with the 6.5 CM with either 123gr or 140gr? Might be a little fast for the creedmoor but seems to be a really consistent powder in my other calibers. Curious of results and if it's worth my bullets to even try it...

I tried RL-17 and 130SMKS in my 6.5 initially, got great velocity, good accuracy, but a little temperature sensitive. Then I went with H4350 and got slightly better results, and more consistency with regard to temps.
Been wanting to try IMR 4895 as it worked very well in my 243. Have to use up the H4350 first.

Lefty, FWIW, your hunch is spot on with my two 6.5CMs.
IMR4895 is a tad too fast for max vel but delivers great accuracy and very consistent velocities with 120-130gr bullets in a factory Kimber and a 24” 1-8 Krieger. I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I’ve tried 123Amax, 125Partitions, 129SSTs and 130BarnesTSX and all worked well.

with the 120-123g bullets, I got very good results with 8208 and WLR primers if you don't have any H4350. I also got excellent results with H and IMR 4895. N140 is nothing short of fantastic.
Worked up some loads with the IMR4895 and went shooting. Got stuck on the 100yd range because of people mowing but got some really awesome results. I made up loads with 35.4gr 36.0gr 36.9gr using 140gr Hornady ELD match bullets seated at factory length which gives me a .047 jump. The 35.4gr shot really well with a .664 group at a avg. velocity of 2572 ES 19.9 SD 8.4 The real winner was the 36.0gr load that shot exactly the same size group of .664 at a velocity of 2620 ES 10.2 SD 4.1 The 36.9gr load fell apart and opened up to well over 1.5 inches at 2671.
The beauty of this power is that my .223 Rem and my .308 also love it! It could very well be an "across the board" powder if it holds together at some longer ranges.
