6.5 Creedmoor 26” barrel DT SRS

i have been loading Berger 140 VLD Hybrids and have so far found a good velocity node around 1750 fps w/ 41 grns of H-4350 touching lands. I am seeing Post from 2800 to 3000 FPS. My goal was to try and hit 2800 FPS. Although I have been reloading handgun ammo for years, rifle is a new addiction and I am a little leery of going past 41.5 grs even without pressure signs...Been using Hornady brass for obvious reasons but will be switching to Lapua soon...

What is a realistic number to hit, noting that all guns are different? How many grains does it take to get you there? What are most PRS competitors velocity running? I am just trying to be realistic...curios to see what the mainstream feedback would be...

You may find an precise node in the low/mid 2800's but for F-class targets at 600yds I found my scores were better at a load that averaged 2720 fps with a 140/ 26" barrel. If I was using it to hunt, or 1 MOA targets, the 2800's node would have been fine.

Thanks. I think the long range shooters are looking for 2,800 and up for vertical dispersion at long distance. All I usually shoot to is 600 or so. (Groundhogs) Just so I can get the accuracy without velocity, I should be fine...
