6.5 Creed. with 120gr Speer Gold Dots

I was curious if anybody had tried this bullet and if there were any issues developing accurate loads . I am using N203B , Federal 210 primers , and Hornaday brass. .The bullets and powder were chosen because that is what I had plenty of . I might have chosen something else in normal times. I am shooting a Ruger American Predator in stainless . I get some very good groups but always with a flyer off to the right about 1 1/2" . I have not segregated the bullets by weight and I have not segregated the brass by weight . I let the gun cool 3 to 5 minutes between shots . It's kind of funny I will have 4 shots almost touching each other and then a flyer. The flyer is typically not the last shot . In fact it seems to occur at various points in the shot string.

I got one of those 6.5 CM Predators on a whim a few years ago. Usually shooting 4 shot groups during development, it was 3 & 1. Always. Even with factory stuff at first. Not always the 1st or last shot either. The only way I improved this was to seat long to a jam. It's still 3 & 1 but much smaller overall with some groups 3/8" or smaller. Maybe bedding, or scope, or ???? but it's just not worth the effort to fix. It's a cheap hunting rifle that's fun to plink with.

Yes.

The 120gr Speer Gold Dot 6.5 bullet is the same as the Federal Fusion bullet. My best load was with 38gr of Varget,
Savage 6.5 CM.
120 Speer Gold Dot COAL=2.775"
Hornady Brass,
CCI 200 Primer,
OAL=2.775"
