6.5 Creed Lapua necked to 6mm neck dia ??

somebody that has necked the new Lapua 6.5 Creed brass to 6mm care to post the neck dia with unturned brass and a 105 Hybird or the 110 SMK seated??

are people using the same reamers as the 6 Creed with Hornady brass or will it require a new reamer speced for the Lapua brass??

I would like a no turn neck with about 3.5-4 K clearance and able to seat the 105-110s above the neck shoulder junction,,is that gonna take a new reamer or will the one Bullets has in stock work with the Lapua brass??

I basically asked the same question a while back. It's on the 4th page back, called 6mm creedmore reamer. You may have seen it already..

I'm necking Nosler (Norma) 6.5 Creedmoor to 6 Creedmoor. My reamer is SAAMI spec/no turn necks. I was able to chamber a reformed case with 105 Hybrids but there was only enough clearance to barely do so. I turned my necks to match the thickness of the Hornady brass....early first stuff from GAP. I don't have any Lapua brass for a comparison but I'm guessing you'll find a similar situation. I used a Sinclair neck turn tool and a power drill. After getting tool set for correct thickness the turning was a snap. I've only got 2 firings on the brass but so far performance is very good. I use a non-bushing resize die to form, expand necks with the Sinclair neck turn mandrell, turn necks, load and shoot...Whidden full length bushing dies from then on.

From my earlier thread and from what I've read, it seems like most guys are getting .272 on the new lapua loaded brass. Some say .273. I haven't ordered my reamer yet, but was thinking .275-.276 on the no turn neck. I also will be using the 105 Hybrids. I'm just not sure what's the best freebore to use for that bullet.
