6mm creedmore reamer

For the guys already using the lapua 6.5 creedmore brass. I'm about to order a reamer for the 6 creed and would like to know what would be the best neck diameter for unturned brass? Or what is your loaded neck diameter? Thanks..

I just got some of the new 6.5 lapua creed brass in and full length sized it with the 6mm creed redding die and my loaded neck diameter is .273. I'm sending a dummy round in to JGS for a no turn and going to go with the a .276 neck for a no turn. My thoughts. Bill

Thanks. What bullets and freebore are you going to run with?

I'm going to send in a dummy round to JGS for the 115 DTAC'S. got the bullet placed about .020 out of the shoulder junction. I'm new to this cartridge so not sure where its gonna run on freebore, guessing around .180 ish dunno. I'm just gonna send one in to jgs and make sure I get it right. I've got a barrel in the lathe right now and should have it chambered up tomorrow with a PTG reamer and gonna throat it on out for the 115's. I just can't wait on the other reamer I gotta see what this lapua brass is all about. LOL. Bill

Loaded round for 6 creed is .272, I have one rifle that has a .2768" neck, the other has a .274 and the last one made has a .275, can't really say .275 is perfect, the .2768" is a shooter, too, it has shot the smallest groups of any of my rifles so far, but I just had the .275 neck rifle made last Aug.

What kind of velocity are you guys getting with the 115DTACs out of the 6 Creedmoor? I keep thinking of building one.

You gonna run the old or new DTACs? Old DTACs shot best for me closer to the lands, new DTACs need some more work.
