6.5 CM and 260 with 123 gr bullets

I use 43gn of ADI2209 (H4350 equivalent) to achieve about 2870 FPS. Groups pretty well out of my 26” 1:8tw barrel.

Are you planning on target/Como or hunting applications?

Planning on target. Accuracy is main objective

I would be confIdent you can find a decent accuracy load for those projectiles. They are a secondary type of projectile for me and I’m not devoting too much time to those projectiles; enough time to determine what the velocity is, average group size and elevations.

What ranges are you looking at?

6.5 creedmoor using 39.8 gn of Varget I'm getting 2875 and 1/2" at 100yds . Using 44.4 gn of Reloder 16 gets the 123 grain to 2960 , but my group was better with Varget . Not many shoot the 123 grain , but more for me ,lol. Lapua makes a 123 grain with a G1 BC .527 that pushed fast enough would make an interesting 1000yd projectile. Easy to push these to 3000fps with RL 16.

I know.most shoot heavier bullets but I am looking for an accurate, low recoil.load for 1/2.moa at 200 yds.

Try the 123s in the 3050-3100 range. It will surprise you. Got there with a long barrel and 4350. Brass life is good, but I expect the barrel life to suffer. Still better life than the 6.5 284.

I have a 6.5SLR That I use mostly for 1,000yds. The few times I have shot it at 500 or 600 I used 123SMK's. A very good bullet. Tried Re16 w/123's this Saturday for the first time. Load development consisted of firing some different charges over a chrono looking for pressure. 42.5gr looked pretty good at around 2975fps.

Shot a 199-13X with it at 500. I think I'm going to like Re-16 in the 6.5SLR.

Just checking around and found Nosler load data for 6.5 CM. Their most accurate 123 gr. loads for the 8 different powders they tested were in the 2750-2850 velocity range. Tends to back-up hikfromstik’s comment above.
