6.5 BR

I would like to get information on a 6.5 Br--Accuracy and load data. I have a Hart barrel that I am going to chamber in 6.5 Br and I would like to know what people think about the potential of the case with 100 to 130 grain bullets. I already have a 6.5x47 and a 6.5x284 I am looking for a reduced powder capacity case that will be accurate. Ross

My 7br 21" got 120's @2880 and 130's at 2660 so expect slightly less due to fast twist, longer bullets unless you use a much longer bbl.

I'd guess 120's at 2700-2750, and 2600-2650 w/130 class, 100's perhaps 2800-2900 range. It will better the Grendel which is about 1.5grains less.

If you cared to improve it, the 6.5TKS has shown phenomenal speeds, albeit likely high pressures and bushed firing pins.

Let us know if you build it how it performs.

I have a load data base that includes the 6.5 BR. It is all for pistols, but should get you started. Drop me an email if you want it.
