6.5 BR load Need help

Any recommendations or starting points to load fot the 6.5 BR ? I am going to be shooting in the 100 grain range. Any help will be appreciated.

Steve has some good information. The 6.5 BR is used extensively in handgun silhouette. You will find data in both the rifle and handgun section.

Check the Hodgdon website. 6.5mmBR is listed since the site was updated. I use 28.0gr. of Varget and a 140gr Sierra Matchking.

I have used the 6.5BR extensively for 5 years in metallic silhouette competition and only two powders are worthy of working with. I've tried them all, except vitivori, not readily available here.
In my rifle, 24 inch barrel I have used the following loads
31 gr RL15, 142 Sierra BTMK bullet, 2600+ FPS
28.5 gr RL15, 107 Sierra BTKK bullet, 2450 FPS
Just started working with IMR4007 and I am impressed
31-33 gr IMR 4007, 142 Sierra BTMK bullet gives 2400-2600 FPS and little weeny bug holes at 100yd.
In summary
RL15 gives Maximum velocity with very good accuracy.
IMR4007 give superb accuracy and acceptable velocity.

I have used a 6.5BR also for steel, although IHMSA. Mine is a 15" Shilen. I am using the VV133 and the SMK 140g. Gun shoots them very well.
