When I saw the 150 grain offering from Sierra I knew I had to have a rifle to make max use of it. I thought and pondered on what would be the perfect caliber to use these bullets in and be able to wring out some real performance from them. I came up with what I call 6.5 Anarchy(Basically a 6.5-06 AI) I made up a dummy round and had JGS cut me a reamer and used that to chamber a Proof Research stainless barrel with a 1-7.5 twist. Built on a Remington 700 LA and Grayboe stock triggered by a Timney Calvin Elite set at 1lb. In the beginning I was figuring that if I could get the 150s rolling around 3000+fps good things would happen. With my 24" barrel and 56.4 grains of RL22 I am getting a consistent 3080fps with plenty of room for pressure. I have seen well over 3100 in testing. Accuracy has been outstanding! I plan to take it out to 1760(one mile) and will report back after doing so. Here are a few pics for you to check out.
