6.5-47L loaded with VV powders info and opinions

New 6.5-47 on my horizon. Hogdon forced me to use VV powders and I really like them in the way it meters, burns cleaner, low SD and less coppering. Any of you 6.5-47L shooters use or tried VV powders in this cartridge? I am all eyes waiting on your experiences and thoughts.

N555 being just tick slower than H4350 looked good on paper but was too bulky to get enough in to make any speed. Other than that I haven’t tried any other Vit in the 6.5x47. H4350 sure works well though..

Agree on H-4350. My 1st one loved it. Current one is throated for 130s and likes Varget. Never tried the vv powders but would if I was dry.

I've found that N150 is almost exactly the same as Varget in my 6GT (same velocity within .2 grains), that or N160 should be perfect in the x47.

I have 5 different 6.5 x 47 competition BR rifles. Long and short barrels! Depending on bullet, H4350 is best all around. Varget and RL 15.5 are next. I have shot VV N540 and it shoots about like Varget with 120/123 bullets. These rifles have Bartlein and Krieger barrels.

I've been shooting 6.5x47L for a long time. H4350 works great but Varget shoots as good or better with 3gr less powder with 140s

I would test n140 and n150 if using VV powders only but I'm sure both will shoot great.
