6.5 - 284 lapua brass

:,I talked to Bruno's this morning, and they said it could be months.
They also said when it does come available get it fast. Supply and
demand problem plus customs headachs.:cry: Make a list of suppliers

Me too, I've been sweating this one for a while. I have a backorder with Grafs and 95 cases in hand which I'm treating very carefully. I hope it's not too long.

So what's the deal with customs - surely there's nothing special about 6.5-284. We seem to get all our other Lapua brass OK. There's got to be another reason........
 
Actually, I have two 6.5 - 284's. One is set up using the lapua brass and a .292 neck. The other is using Norma brass and a no turn neck. Both rifles shoot very well!
 
I've learned the hard way. 100 pieces of brass doesn't last all that long and if it's .308 or 6.5 X 284 Lapua it'll b out of stock for extended periods of time. Anymore I don't get less than 500 pieces at a time. Of course shooting the 6.5 X 284 I've found I need to get more than one barrel at a time too.
 
I originally bought 600 pcs of brass but ended up sharing half of it for another rifle. I now have 435 rounds thru my rifle but all on 150 rounds of brass. I have 150 still unfired.
 
I know I'm probably digging my own grave by saying this,.....
But I received an email from Lapua today stating the tentative arrival time for the next container,the 6.5/284) is the first or second week of December. Hopefully, customs will go smoothly and we'll get this out quickly.

Hello people: Where can i get chambered barrel and dies for the 6.5 grendel?Been told they're propietary to alexander arms. can anyone help?? thanks, hillbilly.
 
You should be able to find the barrel over at www.saternmachining.com since they are licensed by Alexander Arms to cut & chamber for the 6.5 Grendel. You will have to ask them if they have the dies in stock. I hope that this will help you with your project.

Very reasonable.In the UK LAPUA brass,at least the 6.5-284, is the equivalent 0f $95.No supply probs at the moment.
