6.5-284 and 6-284

i am looking for data to load my 6-284 and was wondering if i could use 6.5-284 data for the same weight bullet since really the only difference is the neck am i rite?

First of all , when you try to push a 100 gr. bullet down a 6mm hole it will nessarly be longer than a bullet for a 6.5 bore. This means it will have alot more friction and raise presures alot more with the same load. I have never use Ramshot powder in a 6-284. I use mostly Mag. Pro.

Calib,
Give johnmyers a p.m he knows a lot about the 6*284 and Ramshot Magnum powder, and is a real nice guy, he will be very willing to help you, tell him I sent you.
Wayne.

well i went out today and shot up some rounds i loaded and found out my the neck size after shot is .279"

i shot a couple decent groups while breaking the barrel in, but now have a lot of work to do to make everything work out rite. i also have some questions for you guys that shoot this round.

1. is 4 thousandths of change in neck size causing pressure issues if a bullet is jammed?
2. do i need to do something different when loading now that i know my neck size in the chamber?
3. does lapua brass get stamped easily by ejector pins?

thanks and i will have more questions soon
