6.5-06 IMP brass

I heard from someone that Nosler 280AI brass could be used by necking it down to 6.5. Is this possible to fit a 6.5-06AI chamber to fire form ?
 
I think the .280 is longer than the parent .30-06 to prevent chambering in a .270. The .280 case would have to be full length resized in order to chamber.
