I shot 6/250 years ago but mine was a 40 degree Ackley shoulder. I shot 70-95 grain bullets out of 10 twist. With a 12 twist you are limited to what you're shooting now. A flat base 80 grain will work too, but forget a boat tail. I still shoot a 6X47 Remington nowadays for prairie dogs, That 6/250 is far superior to a 6BR. Pretty much a 6 Creed. I shoot the Nosler 70 grain ballistic tip in my 6X47 and it shoots .250" groups. What kind of groups you looking for?Haven’t got my 6-250 shooting as well as I’d like. Schneider 25”/12tw/ 0 freebore. This is strictly for varmints with light bullets 55-75gr, nothing heavier. Anyone shooting this cartridge, what’s working for you?
