5mm Rimfire

Now that ammo is available has anyone played with the idea of a CZ action fitted with a quality aftermarket barrel chambered for this round? Seems to me it would make a nice rig for g-hogs and small predators out to around 150 yds.

Brute: Maybe, but after the bolt face alterations (if it can even be done), and the expense of re-barreling, what will it do that a good ole Winchester 22 Magnum Rim Fire hasn't been doing for many years? And if Aquilla stops producing the ammo, you're left with a very expensive wall hanger.

Rumore had it that CZ was going to build a 5mm rifle.
I'd like to see that happen,I think it would rekindle
the flame and keep the ammo being produced.I'm afraid
CZ is taking a wait and see attitude.My suggestion would be to get a contender barrel and a lifetime supply of ammo
and bide your time till Cooper makes one. ;D ;D
The price on ammo is pretty fair right now,various sites have 50rds boxes for $14.99.The 5mm was ahead of its time and is a great round, we shoot p.d.'s in Nebraska with the 5mm and really enjoy it.If Hornady every made the 5mm with a V-Max
I think the future of the old classic would be cinched.

I know this is the rimfire part but why neck down the 5mm RF.......just get a 17AH.
