55 Zmax in 1/8 twist

right guys, has anybody tried 55 grain Zmax in a tikka t3 with 1/8 twist and if so how'd they shoot,I pick up the rifle cheap loves 69 grn smk but I want something a little more explosive for crows and other varmints

Jack, I have just got a t3 varmint in 8 twist 223. So far shooting the 55gr blitzking outback ammo to get a stockpile of brass and it shoots well. I have heard however hornady bullets should be kept below 300,000rpm and the 1:8 twist puts them over. Im planning to run 50gr nosler BT's. Im sure the zmax would be worth a shot. The other bullet Im going to give thought to is the sierra roo soft point (55gr gameking). Not sure how the lead tip will go in the fast twist but its a nice cheap bullet.

I've shot 55 gr VMAX out of a 1-8 and it shot sub 1/2 groups @ 200 yards with them.
