223 1-8" twist bullet choice.

Id snag some 53gr vmaxes. I can tell you I hammered foxes and coyotes with 40gr vmaxs from a 7 twist with no problems.
hey - I'm curious why a 53g v max is "better" than a 50g, 55g or 60g in a 7 twist?
seems like a very niche weight...for maybe a 1/12 twist?

It would be highly unusual for a 223 to tear apart any jacketed bullet, exept maybe ones made for the 22 hornet. Coyotes don't need much killing. They will fall to pretty much anything you shoot them with out of a 223.

The question is how far are you going to shoot them, and how much time will you have to accurately judge range and wind. The answers to those questions will tell you which bullet to shoot.

I have the exact same Tikka, shoots great, started off with Nosler CC 77 / Varget / CCI 450 - worked really well, shot best with 23.2gr of Varget. tried the 69 SMK's , didn't spend enough time of this combo, then went to using 75gr Amax's and ADI 2206 ( not sure what this is in the states ) worked just as well in the local factory 300m comps

Its a great factory gun

Get a little throat wear and a 9 twist 223 will start smoking those old bullets designed for the .222 like the Blitz and SX. Stick to modern designs like the Vmaxes, etc.

I am shooting a heavy barrel AR with an 8 twist for coyote. My load is 24.0 gr of H322, Sierra 50 grain Blitz King, CCI 400 and my AOL is 2.240 for mag length. Very deadly out to 400 yards.
Not sure where you got your load from
But thats my EXACT to a tee load for my rock river arms a.t.h. and im here to tell you this little thing is accurate and deadly.
I killed 4 deer in 1 day last season
All with a load of 25.3 cfe 223
62 gr tipped ttsx barnes bullet , seated at mag lengtg 2.245.
Its stupid accurate for a little fun gun.

After almost pulling my hair out trying many bullets and powders i have settled on the 53gr vmax and 25.5grs of benchmark in lake city brass. Averaging 3200 FPS and putting 5 shots in .4". The 60gr vmax shot better but the velocity was lacking.
