The 22-250 has the capacity to utilize powders much slower than the traditional ones and is capable of much greater performance with more modern powders and bullets.

Truer words were never spoken!Back in the day I discovered how well
H-414 and 50 grain bullets worked in my 26" 14 twist 22-250.4050fps.
This load data was from Hornady #3.Now the manuals have been backed off so much due to liability concerns it seems we are getting 223 performance from our 22-250s.I think I will rebarrel one of my 22-250s with a 9 twist to shoot the 53 V-Max and some of the newer poly tipped 69 and 70s with Rel17

.58gr Vmax is what i use in my Savage .243 day gun
