I'm looking for a balance scale and see this one mentioned often. When I checked the specs, it shows the weights in ounces. I know there's a conversion chart on the base of the scale, just wondering how much of a chore it is to do the conversion?

Yes - I have an old 505 and that is precisely correct.I believe the physical scale measurement is in grains. The chart on the base is conversion to ounces.
What!! Scales need battery's?And I'll add, the batteries on my 505 have never gone dead.![]()
The older scales with a larger chassis and plastic dust cover such as the Ohaus 10-05 or Lyman M-5 will serve you well. Thanks
I figured the scale is produced for reloading, so it should be using grain increments.
