500 yard 6BR load work up !

Is it repeatable?
The shape of the group is a key indicator to me that the seating depth is very good. The next group might not be as small but if you can stay flat or stack um your on the right path. IMHO of course:rolleyes:

I sure hope so ! Lol . Last week 29.4 shot about an inch at 300 . I think the load is good . Not sure about me ! Lol .

Will find out this weekend . I’ve got a box of 50 ready to go .

The triggerman is the weak link every time the rifle is always capable of getting it done!

I’ve always wanted to shoot with tactical bipod off bench but had a difficult time being consistent with it (308) . I changed rifle to 6BR , and shot 300 yard 10 rd. group with it last weekend . (107 smk , 28.1 Varget . I hope this isn’t a fluke ! About 1.25 .

Let’s see the next three before we get to excited. I’ve had ridiculously small groups but couldn’t get them to repeat for whatever reason but the shape was consistent which keeps me going

Im not shooting for smallest group . I shoot informal F open . So my goal is everything in X ring , about 2.5 at 500 and 1.5 at 300 .

How many shots total with the RL-15 load did you shoot ? Just wondering if you ran into any cleaning issues after shooting RL-15 ??

Im guessing I’ve shot about 60-70 rounds . I will be cleaning before I shoot this weekend . I’ll let u know because I have the same question . First time I’ve used reloader 15 .

I need some education here. Reading grouping isn’t my strong point.

I can’t speak to anyone else’s view or method only myself however, It’s just minimizing vertical dispersion, when I’m testing I’ll watch for tendencies as seating changes so does the group size and shape. I personally like a group like resembles cordwood and getting them to repeat makes me happy. ( 550 yards )
I always did think you we're a little square LOL good test.

Reloder 15 update ! So I cleaned after shooting around 100 rounds (29.6), and yes it was dirty . I would say more than Varget . No awful , but took a few more patches of C24 than usual . It still wasn’t fouled because I was shooting everything in 10 ring today at 500 yards with 40 mph gusts . Bad day !!! So I will probably try going a little hotter to see if that helps . I’ve read where some guys are up to 30.5 grains. So I’ll take it up slow and see what happens .
