50 cal preformance

I've looked and looked can not seem to locate information on 50cal ballistics,Not muzzle loaders). Help is appreciated. Web sites or data.

I'd like an idea of speed and drop out to 1000-1500 yds. Ball ammo, factory) in a bolt action rifle.

TIA Harvey

At those distances, ball ammo is for area effect, not point targets. Expect 3 MOA or more of dispersion on top of drop and drift. That's a group size of 3 to 4-1/2 FEET.

Life's too short to be shooting shitty ammo.

Here's a ballistic program you can run yourself.

Thank You for the quick get back.

I've looked at the FCSA site several times. I am undecided wether I need, say WANT) a big toy or will a 300 win mag, 338 or a 30-338 or maybe the new Barrett 416/461? be big enough toy to shoot 1000 yds.

First off We have very few locations that offer 1000 yds on woodchucks or coyotes. So most shooting would be target and at 6-800 yds.

I'd just like to get the flattest 1000 yd shooter and play. I believe what I can learn from the big bores will help my 22 and 30 cal shooting.

I've shot Hi power shilouette and my 308 or 30-06 will reach there. I just have to crank in a ton of elevation.

Again Thank You for the get back. Harvey
