5.7x28 single shot carbine

I just had a barrel made on a Handi rifle in this caliber. Reason was brass is cheap and readily available and I wanted a reloadable round with similar ballistics to a 22 Hornet or 22 rf mag. With cheap easily available brass. So far with 35 gr Hornady V-Max and True Blue it doesn’t disappoint. Anyone else play with this interesting little round ?

I stubbed a barrel for a contender, chambered it for 5.7x28. Haven't had much time to play with it.

Howdy !

Great idea for single-shot carbine chambered in this cartridge.

I’ve thought of doing something similar using .22Jet… neck expanded to full .224” cal. For the “ Jet “, I had in-mind to “try “ Blue Dot “.

Only reloading I do with the 5.7 is filling the case with lead, reforming the shoulder to a point and shoot them out of a 7.62x54r Mosin.
