40x Help .... Please

I now have a receiver and bolt body... Is there any chance of finding a complete bolt head and firing pin assembly or will I need to buy the whole bolt from pt&g??

40X rimfire parts are not in abundance it seems. On occasion firing pin assemblies are listed but usually fetch as much or more than a new one from Kiff. Front half of bolt and extractors rarer yet.

I agree with the above. You might stumble upon the parts you need, but if you want to move your project along a PTG bolt will be the best use of time.

Boyd L.... I am beginning to see the light....just thought it would be nice if the matching bolt could be rebuilt.... but it looks like I would more successful hunting for a hen’s tooth...

As long as you're starting with a bare receiver and not trying to correctly headspace a barreled receiver you could either see about buying just the front half or buying a complete assembly and then using your matching bolt body along with needed parts to make it complete from the new bolt then sell that new bolt body??? Just a ramble for what it's worth?

Which style bolt handle are you trying to get and does it have to be original or is aftermarket ok? I have a few bolts and may be able to help with a complete bolt. Wayne

10x..... thanks ..., there response not at this time..,

Lion thanks for the kind offer... I will pay the difference and get new so I can order the correct bolt handle. I can use it if there are dimensional issues trying to use it to rebuild my bolt otherwise I could be farther in the hole.

@OP: please forgive the mild hijack.
@lion: if I had one of the CMP barreled actions sold without a bolt I would be knocking on your door. That’s a good thing to have a few lying around.
