40x bolt cleaning

What do you use to clean out the inside of your bolt and firing pin and spring? I was thinking of Remington Action cleaner but not sure of the lube, or Ballistol or Hornady One Shot gun cleaner? It's for a 40x if it makes a difference.

Can this be done sufficiently without disassembling?

Brake cleaner works well for me. Leaves no residue and will blast out the crud. Just remove the firing pin assy and go to town. Happy cleaning.

I was hoping to leave the pin assembly in as I don't have the tools to disassemble the 40x rimfire bolt properly.

I just clean my bolt everytime I give my rifle a cleaning. While I let the solvent do it's duty. I disassemble the bolt, clean it out, a light coat of rust inhibitor, light grease on the shroud thread and contact points and lugs, assemble. Done.

Proper tools always on hand.
