Nice rifle you've got there. I've seen one of those before that was chambered in 7.62, and the receiver had a groove for stripper clips, the front of the loading port was also relieved for clearance. Rifle that I saw had been built for High Power competition as far as I know.
I saw a guy shooting a custom shop rifle while shooting at Manatee. It was a 300 ultra mag but made on a short action. The owner said all custom shop rifles are made on short actions. That just seems wrong to me, to have to pull the bolt to unload a round.
