4064 in the 6 BR

I'm wondering about useing up my 4064 in my 6BR. Has anyone done so? and was it accurate in the 8 twist and 105/108 grain class of weights?

It worked fine in my 6BR, I shot 30Gr's. of it behind 105 Berger Moly coated Vld's and it shot on par with Varget and VV N-540.

I haven't tried it but quickload shows that for the same load the 4064 will have a bit more pressure so if you try it, download it a bit from a varget load to start. I would be shocked if it didn't work, seems that 4064 works great wherever Varget does.

When I tested it shot good . But it spiked very fast. Temperature changes was no its friend. Larry

Larry, how long did you let the 4064 gas out before you tried it in the 6br? 4064 is usually pretty dependable stuff and a good fit / replacement for Varget. : WD

I never gases it out the can had Ben open several times over the years. It just didn't like our hot weather.
They were fine when I first took them out of the air condition car. Two hours in our hot weather the primers were totally flat. Larry
