400 mod bb reports?

Any consensus on bartlein 400 mod bb barrels lasting longer?

Anyone used one or shot one out?

I have one on a 284 win, accuracy is great. Only 1300 rounds in so far.

the general report is that will not stop a "hot " cartridge from torching the barrel, but will give longer life to standard loads, just going from memory on reports on the internets

I was sent a 1-18 twist 30 caliber Bartlien made from the new 400 Mod a few weeks ago. I chambered it to my favorite VFS Score Rifle with my own .330 neck 30 BR reamer. I cut it to 23 inches in length and threaded it for my tuner. I broke it in last week end, Since I spent a lot of time with my...

I will be shooting it again this Sunday at the NBRSA VFS Match in Austin.

I have one in 284 Shehane which has about 2000 rounds on it and still holding the X ring at 1000 yards. This is pushing Berger 184s at 2800fps - I do not push this case hard but it shoots so well I don't need to.

Maybe I'm just pushing to hard with 6.5 Creedmoor @ 41.5 grs. of RL16 and a 144 gr. bullet.@ 2880fps. Good to know it works for you.
