.40 S&W Compact Single Stack -- Suggestions?

I am still in love with the .40S&W. As such I have a few double stack pistols that work great and a couple that just were not what I wanted for one reason or another. The two that come to mind that I let go are the S&W .40 shield and Springfield XDs .40S&W, both are very good pistols, just not for me.

I have been looking and not finding the "just right one" yet so here I am looking for member help. What I have in mind is something along the lines of the Kahr CW40, except with a light enough recoil spring that my old worn out hands can work.

So it should be: a slim single stack compact .40, 6-7rds or so and something easy to carry and draw from a IWB type holster. This is something that I may make a jeep gun as well so it should be not something to nice to throw under the seat of an old jeep.
Thanks guys.

Been looking for something similar with no success. Many manufactures are reducing or eliminating the 40 S&W lines since the shift to 9mm. I don't own a 9mm, but my kid carries a G43X. I do like the size and feel. But we are a Glock friendly family. To each their own. Just not many choices for a single stack 40 S&W. I would encourage you to shoot a Kahr CW40. I never could get over the trigger pull on mine and passed it along for a CZ.

I've always been a big fan of the 40 S&W.
I love my S&W M&P Shield Performance Center 40. It's a great carry gun, and pretty dang accurate. If you don't mind a little more weight, and a smaller 1911 profile, the Springfield EMP 40 is a fantastic choice also.

I would look at a Sig, w german. expensive but superb firearms. I personally do not like 'glock' type triggers. DA on first shot works for me. but the W german sigs may be on the big side.

Thanks guys for your thoughts here. I would buy another CW40 if I could find one, the used ones I have come across lately are a little worse for wear on the slides and the few new ones are priced way above their value.

I am still looking for more ideas from our members so I can make the best choice here and if anyone knows of a decent used CW40 for sale I would like to know. I'm still looking, thanks.
