Does anyone make a Single stack Magazine Well to feed the 6BR that will fit inside the Rem. Model 7 or Rem. Model 700 ? There has to be someone out there that makes this as popular as the 6BR is. I know that Curtis makes DTM Boxes but I need the Mag. Well that fits inside the Model 7 and 700. Thanks in advance...George

AICS mags, but they have to be altered. Search here in these forums or google it. It's out there. I read that a couple guys were testing a new mag they were going to market. That was 6 months or so ago. Haven't looked to see if they're producing them. About 18 months ago, I talked to a guy that made a Tikka into a 6br and used unaltered 22-250 mags. He said it worked "flawlessly". I use PT&G bottom metal for the AI mags on my 700 builds. Was going to alter a mag but got distracted with new 6.5-47, 30 br and .223 guns. I'll revisit it when I get bored with the new toys. Josh

I purchased the adapters that go into the AICS mags. Primal Rights sells them. Work very well.

Regarding a mag that will fit into a standard bdl inlet, Wyatt's makes a set up that you could possibly modify to work, but it'd take some doing.

I've used ATI (I think) polymer bottom metal and mags with great success in bdl inlets, but the polymer mags would be harder to modify I'd guess.

I've seen people run unaltered MDT .308 mags with success. I have a 6.5br in the works and I plan to use those mags.

My gunsmith built a 6.5 Grendel and is using the same mags to feed a Model 7.

Primal rights has a Mag. kit for feeding the 6BR in a 700, don`t know if it would work in a 7 or not......

A 308. If you use short bullets you may want to make a spacer in the rear, but witha 105 seated to about 2.4" the standard mag seems to work fine, and with a sako or mini 16 they run pretty good. Wyatts makes a center feed br box as well that works with a bdl.

Thanks, Alex. I have done a couple with the spacer for short bullets, more or less copying what Mike Bryant used to do. I had trouble getting them to work until I hit on the right way to modify the follower by milling or grinding the step in the middle of the follower to release the last round more easily. I really wish someone would offer a better follower. the cast stainless OEM one is a pain and drags on the brass. If I get a chance, I might try to make one from Delrin. The AICS conversion by Primal Rights looks to be perfect, It just doesn't help for those of us that want a traditional rifle without a huge detachable mag. I haven't heard anything good about the Wyatt center feed kit although it can probably be made to work.

Check out Wyatt's Outdoor Inc, they have a very good internal box (BR BOX) that feeds the 6BR and Dasher sized cases well.
