I'm getting a Winchester 1886 (made in 1890), from an online Auction site. The .40-82 is a bit of an uncommon cartridge, and I'm wondering what is the smartest way to load for it? Try and find regular loaded .40-82 rounds? use .45-70, or .45-90 Brass, and swage it down to .40-82? Let me know...

40-65 is too short, I think you need 45-90 brass to make 40-82.
