I found some in a brass bucket and thought "How cute". Then, I wonder how much it will hold? Then, surely someone has done something with this by now, say a 17 or 14.......

Just for grins, I found it held almost 10gr of 4064........I just happened to have some from a pulled case. I know, waaaay to slow for the case. But it did give me a general idea of case capacity. Probably 11+ of a ball powder?

It is diminutive for sure - about 5mm short of a Hornet.

You're correct. The 17VHA (Varmint Hunters Assoc.) was introduced in 1999 after it was designed by VHA magazine editor, John Anderson. It's a necked down German HK 4.6x30mm (.18 caliber) case to 17 cal. Recently, some wildcatters designed the 17SCC (Small Caliber Club) from a modified version of the 17VHA.

The 17VHA will launch a 20gr. V-Max around 3,750 fps which is impressive for such a small powder charge.
